East of Eden's announced Netflix release date is October 1, 2026, with all seven episodes scheduled globally. Florence Pugh leads Zoe Kazan's new adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel. For viewers in India, this is the new limited series to look for, not the older screen adaptation. We have not tested account playback or a Hindi dub.
East of Eden Netflix release date and episode count
Netflix Tudum states that all seven episodes arrive globally on October 1. That is an all-at-once release announcement, not a weekly schedule. We are not claiming that every Indian account already shows playable episodes, and Netflix's announcement does not give an India-specific launch time in the source checked here.
Where to watch East of Eden in India
Netflix is the announced home of this limited series. Search for East of Eden and match Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames, with Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist in the cast. Check the title's regional catalogue and your membership before viewing. No free full-series option is claimed.
Cast, writer and directors
Florence Pugh plays Cathy Ames, Christopher Abbott plays Adam Trask and Mike Faist plays Charles Trask. Hoon Lee plays Lee, Ciaran Hinds plays Samuel Hamilton and Martha Plimpton plays Faye. The wider cast includes Tracy Letts, Joseph Zada and Joe Anders.
Zoe Kazan writes and executive produces the seven-episode adaptation. Garth Davis directs episodes 1-4; Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre directs episodes 5-7. Jeb Stuart is executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Kazan. Calling Kazan the sole director would be incorrect.
What is the new East of Eden about?
The series follows Cathy and generations of the Trask family, exploring how family history shapes choices about good and evil. Netflix's description puts Cathy's perspective at the centre of this telling. It adapts Steinbeck's 1952 novel; this guide does not compare scenes with earlier versions or offer an ending explanation, because we have not watched the series.

Watch Netflix's full official East of Eden trailer on YouTube. It introduces Florence Pugh's Cathy and names October 1 as the premiere. This is the full trailer, not the earlier teaser.
Hindi dub, subtitles and viewing checks
We have not confirmed a Hindi audio track or the India subtitle menu from the official sources checked. Open Audio and Subtitles on Netflix rather than relying on an unverified dubbed-language list. Episode lengths and account playback are also unverified here. The seven-episode count and October 1 schedule come directly from Netflix Tudum.
