Sardar 2 is announced to stream on Prime Video from October 1, 2026. Karthi's spy-thriller sequel is due in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, according to the release reports checked on September 30. This is a spoiler-free OTT guide, not a review.
Sardar 2 OTT release date and platform in India
The announced streaming date is Thursday, October 1, 2026. NDTV Profit and Outlook carry Prime Video India's September 28 announcement, while Moneycontrol also reports the October 1 premiere. The film follows its September 10 theatrical release.
Look for the exact title Sardar 2 in Prime Video on release day. Do not confuse it with the first Sardar film or the unrelated Sardaar Ji 2. We have not verified a playable sequel listing in an Indian account, so this guide confirms the announced release rather than current playback.
Is Sardar 2 available in Hindi?
The announced OTT languages are Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. Check the audio menu on the film's own page when it is live; a Hindi trailer alone is not proof of the streaming audio options. No precise India release hour was confirmed in the sources checked.
Sardar 2 cast and director
Karthi leads the film in father-and-son roles. The cast includes S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan and Yogi Babu. P. S. Mithran directs the sequel. It is produced by S. Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena under Prince Pictures and Ivy Entertainment, with music by Sam C. S.
What is the sequel about?
The promotional setup brings Sardar's past into a new intelligence threat. Karthi's two characters face a conspiracy involving military secrets and Black Dagger. We are keeping this to the trailer's premise, without claiming how the mission ends.
